Η Αγία Παρασκευή της συνοικίας της Μακαριώτισσας είναι μία μονόχωρη εκκλησία του τέλους του 14ου αι. με επάλληλες προσθήκες και μετασκευές μέχρι τον 19ο αιώνα. Στην σημερινή της μορφή έχει την κάτοψη δίκλιτου ναού με νάρθηκα. Οι τοιχογραφίες της χρονολογούνται στα τέλη του 14ου, στον 15ο , τα τέλη 16ου – αρχές 17ου, στα 1683 και τον 18ο αιώνα. Η τοιχογράφηση του 1683, επί αρχιερατείας Ιωακείμ μαρτυρείται από την κτητορική επιγραφή της εισόδου στον κυρίως ναό. Από την αρχική διακόσμηση του ναού του 14ου αι. σήμερα είναι εμφανείς μερικές μόνο παραστάσεις στον βόρειο τοίχο. Στον δυτικό τοίχο είναι φανερό ότι υπάρχουν επίσης τοιχογραφίες αυτής της περιόδου. Στο 15ο αι., τοποθετείται παράσταση στο νάρθηκα που καλύπτει μέρος της προϋπάρχουσας του 14ου αι., και μορφή στο τοξωτό άνοιγμα του βόρειου τοίχου. Στα τέλη 16ου – αρχές 17ου αι. κοσμούνται με παραστάσεις ο ανατολικός τοίχος του κυρίως ναού και η κόγχη του ιερού.  Το έτος 1683 οι παλαιότερες τοιχογραφίες του δυτικού και του βόρειου τοίχου του κυρίως ναού καλύπτονται από νέες παραστάσεις. Στις αρχές του 18ου  αιώνα τοιχογραφήθηκαν ορισμένες παραστάσεις στο βόρειο κλίτος, πολύ φθαρμένες σήμερα.

The Church of St. Paraskevi in the Makariotissa quarter is a single-aisled church dating back to the 14th c., which underwent successive additions and conversions until the 19th c. In its present-day form, it is a two-aisled church with a narthex. Its mural paintings date back to the late 14th, 15th, late 16th – early 17th c., 1683, and the 18th c. The mural decoration of the year 1683, during the prelacy of bishop Joachim is testified by a donor’s inscription above the entrance to the nave. From the initial mural decoration of the 14th-c. church, only a few depictions on the northern wall survive. The western wall also clearly bears mural paintings from that time. In the 15th c., a depiction was added to the narthex, covering part of the pre-existing 14th-c. one, and a figure on the arched opening of the northern wall. In the late 16th – early 17th c., depictions were added to the nave’s eastern wall and to the apse of the sanctuary. In 1683, the older paintings on the western and northern wall of the main section of the church were covered by new scenes. In the early 18th c., certain depictions were painted on the walls of the northern aisle, but are severely deteriorated.
